The software is known to work with LG TVs, but it's not specified what are the versions supported by the application. The only requirement is that you have to connect both devices: smart TV and the PC running with the application to both network using LAN or WiFi, depending on the supported connectivity options.
I've checked the website and it appears there is no additional software, only firmware upgrade files.
