A trial version will always ask you to buy and register no matter what. The trial allows you to test the application, but nag screens, limitations, notifications will appears. Take the example of WinRAR. After its trial period, a big pop up appears asking you to buy it because it expired.
It's a normal thing for developers to implement such things in their software.
