A write error has occurred.

Question

When I try to burn a data disk to a Blu-ray, half way though it stops and says "A write error has occurred." Wondering how to fix that?

Write error usually occurs when there are some very specific causes like:

1. The CD/DVD burner you use has a weak laser or doesn't get enough power, or the cable is faulty. For the last two, you can check by yourself and replace the cables.

2. The file that you added to the project is locked by another process, therefore access isn't allowed.

3. The CD/DVD is scratched and the laser can't write to the designated area.

You need to check all of these to eliminate the cause to the issue.
