This is generally available for every calendar application. If you add an entry, and you didn't specify the date or the recurring date, then that entry will not be added until you adjust the date. This is what you have to do in this application as well. Tap on an appointment and change its recurring date or its regular date to match your preferences. Mark it as a one-time appointment, and it should appear only on the date/month you've selected.
