PackRat Pro won't run with newly uploaded Windows 10.

Question

I get an error message after password is accepted.

PACKRAT Professional has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution
is available.

As far as I know, the products from the Polaris developer are discontinued which means their compatibility with Windows 10 is questionable. I recommend setting a compatibility mode for the application because this is the only thing you can do. Right click the application and go to Properties > Compatibility. Choose a previous version from the drop down list and tick the Run as Administrator.

Am running Packrat with all windows versions since DOS
now with win8.1, no compatibility tweaks needed

Worried all this data for decades might be stiff armed by win10 ...
anyone having win 10 success? Tips?

(win8.1 stiff armed decades of data when MYM Accounting tried to load, when even XPpro allowed it)
