Unable to run Quantum ver 3.9.6 on Windows 8.1.

I have an error with the application: "Run time error '3050'. Could not lock file". Software works well on Windows 7 and Vista.

Try running the software as Administrator and then check its behavior. If you still have issues, then it could be possible that Quantum is lacking compatibility with Windows 8.1. I have checked and tried to find an official website to acquire user guides or troubleshooting options, but there aren't any.
