I firstly used the Belkin Home Base Model F5L049 v1 with Windows XP, then with Windows 7 without any problems. However, after I've installed the Belkin Home Center on my new Computer with Windows 8.1 I received the message: “System error”. I have tried to install an update with the version “f51049ea.exe”, but without success. Can you help me solve this problem?

The software isn't developed/updated to work with Windows 8.1. According to the official website, you will need Windows XP 32 and 64-bit, Windows Vista 32 and 64-bit to make it work. There is no support for newer versions of Windows. As you can see, it doesn't even have compatibility with Windows 7 in the first place.
