Will it work on Windows 8.1 and can I add text? If so how much for each photo. I would like to add up to 500 words per photo.

Yes, the software will work on Windows 8.1 and higher, but I couldn't find anything related to adding text. I managed to download and install the software normally, but I didn't have the possibility of adding text. If you want to do that, another version needs to be used.
