I have download the application and tried the procedure you have mentioned, but it appears it's impossible to bypass that requirements. It was designed to work only when certain requirements were met. In this case, if you don't have a proper device attached and installed on your computer, the application is rendered useless because it will not start. I believe this trigger is implemented to avoid damages to CPU/GPU.
