No convergence in load flow while using DigSIlent Powerfactory.

Question

I have built my networks on 2 separate grids in DIgSILENT, but the load flow won't be successful and the error on the output window reads "Element G1 is a local reference in separated area of Bus 1". G1 is my reference machine and Bus 1 is the bus where G1 is directly connected to.

This is a complicated process that has been discussed in a paper released in PDF format. It's called Load Flow Analysis in DiGSILENT PowerFactory. The PDF file is very comprehensive since it has over 200 pages. It's hosted on the Academia website and it can be downloaded using an account (you can register for free).
