If you choose the USB drive, then you need to check if the drive is actually good. Go to My Computer and copy something to USB drive. If you encounter errors telling you the drive is not formatted, it's broken and needs replacement. Additionally, the USB drive might be full with data. Delete something and then copy the necessary files.
