Unable to delete objects in an Access 2010 database

I have an Access 2010 database that I converted from an Access 2003 database. I opened the access 2003 database .mdb file in Access 2010 and then saved it as an Access 2010 accdb file. I am unable to delete any of the forms, queries, etc in this access 2010 database. Can someone tell me why I am not able to do this?

I have done the exactly same steps with an MDB database and I the file was available for editing. However, the forms had some issues with the file being read-only. That setting made it impossible to edit the file. I have closed the application and remove the Read-Only option from the file using right click on it and then select Properties.
