The Web Helper is an extension to Spotify which allows you to start the player or listen to embedded Spotify songs and playlists on websites. If this service is not working, then every time you click on a playlist hosted or embedded on a website, nothing will happen. If you don’t use playlists from websites, simply go to Start > Run > msconfig and switch to Startup then uncheck Spotify from the list and it shouldn’t start anymore.
