Question

I'm using Microsoft Office 2011 on a Mac. Futura Font doesn't print out properly (although it does when it is in the footer of a Word document). Any suggestions?

It is most likely that the font installed was corrupted due to the fact that the computer was turned off in an improper manner. In order to restore the font I advise you to install it again by double clicking and choose “Install font”. For Microsoft Office package the font installing operation is different than the default one. After you install the font, open the font book and drag the font to the left over the Microsoft Office Companion and then restart the product for the changes to take effect and try again to print.

i found microsoft office companion but it is still not working. please help.

Disable the font, restart the computer and enable it again. If you print now it should look well. You may have to repeat this every time you want to print a document with the Futura font.
