How can I save a scan as PDF instead of image?

Is there a way to save a scan as PDF? My scanner always saves the scan as image.

Epson offers various documentation for its products. You can access it using a browser. typically, if you have Epson Scan installed, switch it to Full Auto Mode then press SCAN. The File Save Settings window will open, then you can choose the output file as show in the image below.
