It's possible the software is not fully compatible with the operating system installed on your computer. First thing to do is to apply a compatibility tweak. Right click the shortcut and go to Properties > Compatibility. Choose a prior version of Windows and then try running it again. Unfortunately, you can't reinstall the software through a download because this application comes bundled with the device.
