When I try to open Bluestacks, its icon appears on the system tray saying that it's online but the main Bluestacks window doesn't even show up. When I try to restart the program through the icon on the system tray, it displays the message "Cannot start Bluestacks". I've been using Bluestacks for a few years now and this is the first time this happened. Really hoping for a reply.

Every troubleshooting procedure related to Bluestacks should start with a Repair. Most likely, the problem with the Bluestacks is caused by the file security permissions and file corruption. You can either use, the Repair feature from the application through Uninstall a Program in Control Panel or download a new installer and overwrite the current installation.

Download app: http://www.bluestacks.com/download.html

Note: If you are asked to keep the data, choose Yes instead of deleting it, because these problems are not related to the file structure, but with the executable files launching the software.

Hello, thanks for your reply!

Unfortunately, there is no repair option in the control panel when I click on the bluestacks program and overwriting with a new installer doesn't work with bluestacks since it will display the "bluestacks is already installed in this machine" error.

And about my data, can I still recover them? My wechat, whatsapp, etc. messages and contacts? Since this error came up all of a sudden that I didn't get the chance to back up my data. For example, in whatsapp, I won't be able to find the database folder on my sd card containing my messages and contacts since I didn't hit back up.

Is there a recovery tool I could use? Or even a way to manually extract my data? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!
