Yes, this is the correct software for the 2G Pen. However, there is a new version of the software called Echo Desktop. It's an upgraded version of LiveScribe Desktop. You can download it from the official website: http://www.livescribe.com/en-us/support/echo/setup/

You can still download the application via the download page at Software Informer: http://livescribe-desktop.software.informer.com/download/
