There is an application called ImageJ that can join a sequence of TIF/JPG files to AVI format.

To create the movie file, firstly rename your files from the beginning to the end to look like "frame000.jpg", "frame001.jpg", etc., then File > Import > Image Sequence and choose the directory. After this procedure use File > Save As > AVI. I recommend that you input 25 fps to standard playback.
