If you have compatibility issues, I recommend running the application that uses the driver in compatibility mode. Right click the installer and go to Properties > Compatibility and select and older version of the software or use the Troubleshoot Compatibility option from the same menu when you use right click only that Windows will determine the correct version that needs to be used.
Additionally, if the drive and the driver are installed properly, even if you have compatibility issues, then you should ignore the warning as long as it doesn't have a bigger impact on the system.
