Rerev.exe error - how to fix?

Resident Evil Revelation has stopped working. It shows rerev.exe error. How to fix it?

This is a known problem that's already being posted on the Steam Support forums. The error is somehow related to APPCRASH. There was one user who found the way to fix it. To apply the same fix to your executable file, right click it and choose Troubleshoot Compatibility. Let Windows adjust the settings and then select Windows XP Service Pack 2 from the list with the operating systems suggested for trying. By now the problem should be fixed and the error shouldn't appear anymore.

nope did work ...... I install the rerev but when i open it , its opens correctly but when start manu came it stop working and the error came the rerev.exe has stop working i try the solution which you recomment it about XP Service pack 2 but it did,t work ....please tell me what to do
