Just bought a new Dell computer, the webcam software launches fine, but doesn't show picture. I uninstalled the driver and restarted the computer, still no change.
Every webcam that is available for buying has a focus feature which is found on the support lens. It is a simple wheel you spin to right or left and adjust the focus based on the distance it broadcasting. Try and spin the wheel until you get a clear picture of the objects in front of the webcam. If the webcam is new, then there is nothing wrong with it and all it requires is just some adjustment of the focus. Some web cameras that do not have a focus setting can be customized using the support software from an installation CD.
