The device works in conjunction with its software and it was made to recognize the OCR barcode text only and it is also used for area scanning. The support for OCR text is not supported at this time and if will also be featured late in the feature it will require additional software only for text recognition. Bottom line, you cannot use the scanning device for OCR text scanning and recognition.
