What is this type of CD Disc that I have used for? Is it used to back up my files?

The DXG-125V HD Ver 1.06QA disc is used to install the drivers and the software for the HHD weather proof DXG-125V camera. The software on the disc allows you to transfer the movies recorded with the camera for additional processing and manipulation.
