The coins in the World Tour Solitaire are used to buy power-ups that can be used while you are in a certain mode. Most powerful upgrades will require tickets that can be purchased with real money, but coins can be earned from the game or purchased with real money as well. The more you play, the more coins you'll get from the game (if you win!).
