Any major version of Excel is able to save and export its files to old excel versions. Basically you save your file to the XLS format and not XLSX (Excel 2007, 2010). You can do this from the Save as window by selecting from the drop down menu next to Save Type as. So, yes, you can save a new format file as an old one keeping the original formatting, styling, etc.
