I have an Eric's Ultimate Solitaire CD that was purchased in 2009 for a Vista machine. Now I have a Windows 8.1 machine, but the CD doesn't work. Is the latest version compatible with CD and can it be loaded to a CD and then purchased?
The Windows version of the software is still limited to Vista. There is no upgrade to make it work on a Windows 8.1 machine. However, if you have the setup package, right click it and select Properties > Compatibility. Choose Windows Vista Service Pack 1 from the list and then try launching it.
