Digital Voice Editor vs Sound Organizer.

Is the Digital Voice Editor software no longer being used? All the new voice recorders are providing Sound Organizer, but I would like to find one that is still compatible with Digital Voice Editor (which compresses my voice files much smaller than Sound Organizer). For example, the file I sent out in .dvf format was compressed to 3.1 MB, and the same file from Sound Organizer only compressed in MP3 format and was 59 MB.

Digital Voice Editor hasn't been updated since 2011, which it isn't updated anymore, however, Sound Organizer is pushed for downloading for all the supported products and it's recommended to be used because it offers additional features and it's easier to use. However, you still have the possibility to download the Digital Voice Editor for the modern operating systems.

Sony insists on using Sound Organizer as the alternative application for Digital Voice Editor.
