The APN is probably messed up. You will have to select it again. Go to Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Network > APN. If there are APN items in the list, select the one which corresponds to the network used by the SIM card. In case, there is none, contact customer service and they will provide all the necessary instructions to configure the phone for Internet connection.
