The problem with the downloading is directly related to the Internet connection. It's possible that the phone is out of the Internet range and because of that you get the download failed. Unfortunately, there isn't anything you can do except to keep trying until the download is complete. I have tested the application and it does work as it says. I was able to download the sound recorded through microphone.
