It all depends on the way you used to create the DVD. Although the content was stored on the DVD, it's possible that the slideshow requires another version of Adobe Flash Player, since this is the major plug-in used to export the content created within the application. Install Adobe Flash Player and then attempt to play the file again and it should work. Alternatively, open the project in Proshow and export it to another format.
