No, Windows XP Mode will not work on Windows 8.1 because Microsoft discontinued Windows XP. However, if you still have an installation disc with Windows XP, VirtualBox or VMWare might come in need. These applications allow you to install Windows XP, even if Microsoft discontinued the operating system.
