Yay, /holding/ down the Power and the Volume Down buttons works for a screenshot. It leaves the pic in the Gallery.

It works great on the AT&T ZTE Z998 Go phone. All you need to do is press the Power button and the Volume down button at the exact time.

Unfortunately this feature isn't available with the zte Merit. I guess they figure that cheaper phones shouldn't come with features of more high end models.

when i press the volume and the power button, it flashes, but then i go to my gallery and its not there.

If you press the volume down button on the side of the phone and power button on top of the phone together you can get a snapshot!

@ andrew.. on the zte merit that doesnt work. It just brings up the turn off menu.
