Why do I keep getting rain fall recording / monitoring issues?

I have difficulty reading the graph on the rainfall recording, it displays horizontal and vertical lines unrelated to the rainfall that has occurred.

Trouble with MAC version of WeathrtSmart software.

The WeatherSmart program crashes a few times a day and I have to reload the program to get it to reappear on the Weather Underground site. Anyone else having problems?
