The installation process is not that complicated. Simply download the package from the Google IME tools page, if haven't done it already, and launch it. Follow its installation guide (if there is any) and that's it. The keyboard button should be placed on your task bar near the clock in the system tray. Click on the EN button to change the keyboard to the Pinyin layout and then you can start typing. The IME engine will also install the necessary font required for you to type. This means that it will be recognized in most of the document processors installed on your computer. If you use the default settings, you can change the languages using Left ALT + Left Shift.
