Null values in the application.

I'm using Hyperion IE V8.3. I'm trying to add the sum of 2 fields in the request line. However, the fields contain nulls. When I sum the values, I get a totally different # in the results vs sum the values in a pivot. Is there a way in the request line to make the null values zero and then sum?

The NULL values are caused by a missing number, element, formula and the hastag is displayed every time there is an error in the calculation. If you use a formula, check the elements contained in the SUM. No, you can't mark the NULL values as zero since they contain errors.
