Since there is no active fix or an online solution, I recommend backing up the details about the user and then wipe it from the system. Log-on with your administrator username and add the user back. Additionally, make sure the employee's details are properly configured in the Group setup window. If you have access to import function, create the username then import the backed up data from the previous operation.
