Does it matter in V6.1 if the source is interlaced or progressive?

Yes, it does matter because although interlaced provides an easier way to fast object drawing and acquisition, it's still recommended to use progressive to have a better drawing of objects. The interlaced mode adds TV scan lines to the objects while progressive loads them completely with visible clarity.
