I have a Galaxy S III and recently downloaded Skype for Android but can't call. What should I do?

I have a Galaxy S III and recently downloaded Skype for Android. I have also downloaded Yahoo messenger and its plug-in. When I make a video call to friends in Philippines the messenger for Yahoo says video and voice call is off. I can't get this app to work. When I Skype call, the connection is never working 99% of the time. What should I do?

Skype and Yahoo Messenger require a good connection to be able to stream video and voice. The voice should work with a low bandwidth but the video call will not be available if the bandwidth is too low. You should check your network connection and your ISP as the services may be filtered and that may be the reason why you can't call normally.
