Quick Translator installs itself as an add-on to the local browser. After it's installed, simply type something and then highlight the selection and right click it. You will then be offered to use the option to translate from the contextual menu. This is the way Quick Translator works. It's a very lightweight add-on that does not consume your system's resources.
