To unlock the phone, a factory reset operation needs to be performed. To do this, turn off the phone then press Volume Up + Power button until the recovery menu appears. Select Wipe Data/Factory reset and then reboot the phone. Once the phone boot-up is complete, configure the phone again and you should have access to it.
