The new Netgear seems to have malware in it. Can you check or confirm?
It's rather impossible for this to happen since the application comes from a respected company. It's also possible that your antivirus gives you false results about the application. According to Virus Total, the file is supposed to be infected with a Trojan Generic but this is a false alarm since all the 50 viruses tested didn't get anything. It's probably because of the installer.
