The first thing to do when you encounter these situations is to freshly install the software. Firstly remove it from your computer using its own uninstaller, and then manually delete the leftovers: installation folder, registry items, temporary files. Secondly, reboot the computer and install the software as you normally do then access the official website and download the available updates. Some applications have a live update feature available from the Help menu.
