We can't install Modicon MODBUS Serial IO Server 7.5 on Windows 7.

We want to install the Wonderware application from Windows XP to Windows 7 and we are facing problems with Modicon MODBUS Serial IO Server 7.5 (7.5.0.7). This application is supported only by Windows XP and Windows NT. Also, I saw on the Wonderware website that there is no new update for IO Server. What can we do?

Since there is no update available, the only solution to install the Modicon MODBUS Serial IO Server on your computer seems to be the Compatibility Mode. Right-click the installer, select Properties and click the Compatibility tab. Check Run this program in compatibility mode for box, select Windows XP from the list and click Apply. After that, right-click again on the installation package and select Run as Administrator. If this doesn't help, you can install the program in Windows XP Mode environment.
