This is an easy job. Simply download a compatible player (VLC) and install it. I have recommended VLC because it's a player with multiple playback possibilities: from DVDs and single audio/video files up to network streaming and broadcasting. Install the application and then insert your DVD or use the File > Open to locate your video file on the storage device. You don't need to worry about extra codecs because VLC already has them embedded.
