You need to check a few things in order to fix the problems. First make sure that the cable is connected on both ends and the printer is detected in Windows. Secondly, visit Device Manager and check if the drivers are installed properly. If not, use the Support CD and install the drivers for your product. This is usually the cause of this error. Another possibility is to re-download the drivers for your operating system, in case you have upgraded your operating system. If after you check these, the device still doesn't want to work, it means you will have to send it to service.
