What is this product and how did it end up on my system?

What is this product and how did it end up on my system? Suddenly I am getting warnings that ATT.net (Yahoo Mail) may be a fraudulent site. I have Xfinity's security package (Semantic), but this has never come up before. The warning states something about the Xfinity Toolbar. Is there something that I can do?

It's possible that this product might have been installed on your computer together with another software solution. According to online information, Xfinity toolbar is labeled as malware because it will hijack your browser (change your default homepage and your default search engine). This might be the reason why you receive warning messages. It's advised to remove the toolbar from your computer. You can let the antivirus program to do that or you can manually remove it by going to Start > Control Panel > Programs and features > select the program and click Uninstall.
