Convert the SLIDESHOW in a Diferent Format. . . VIDEO FORMAT MPEG. . . or WMV. . . or AVI. . . despite that few videoplayers paly AVI, or WMV, try to get a format that is Popular, then Convert the Video Digital to a ANALOG format . . . more popular... MPEG-II, NTDS if your are in America, PAL if you are in Europe or Arabic countries, with software like
Corel VideoStudio v9-10-11-12, all the HP laptops are coming with a Software That do that conversion for you. . . will take 30 minutes. . . ask Google - it's your friend - ask for : Video PAL scan, NTDS convertion, MPEG-2

The most possible reason is that your dvd do not support the format of the slideshow on your DVD. You'd better ask the support team of Photostage to solve your problem first.
It may also because the dvd disc is not support by the dvd player, you can try burn it with another kind of dvd disc.
If it still cannot be solved, you can try to convert the format of your slideshow, here I know a free video converter named Any Video Converter.
If the above solutions cannot work too. Then I think you need to use other progams like Photo DVD Maker, or many other good stuff.
