When was the most recent automatic update downloaded to my laptop?

I'm asked why an encrypted file was modified on a certain date (as/17/2013, I think). The only answer I can think of is that there was an automatic update that downloaded by itself. Is that possible?

The file was most likely modified by someone else because automatic updates process can't modify encrypted files since it cannot unlock it. If you right click the file and select Properties > Details, you will have the possibility to see the exact date and hour when it was modified and to whom the file belongs to.
