Recovering locked files

I gave my pen drive to my friend. He copied 5 files and 5 folders into it. When I tried to open the pen drive on my computer, I can see only the files. I even changed the settings to "Show hidden files and folders". But still it doesn't show the folders. I scanned the pen drive with my antivirus program, and it found the folders. How to fix this in order to access the folders?

In order to fix this, you can try several things. Go to Start and depending on your OS version, you need to run Command Prompt using Administrator rights. It can be found in Programs > Accessories. To run it as Administrator, right click on it and select Run as administrator. After you open it, type X:\>attrib -r -s -h /s /d *.* where X: is the letter for your pen drive. Now you should be able to access your files.
